bt 711 – A crimp module with so many pluses

The bt 711 bench top crimping press ensures an optimum bond between wire and crimp–ideal crimping. In combination with a standard commercial applicator, the bt 711 becomes a precision instrument.

The bt 711 is designed as a semi-automatic bench top model. Where individual terminals once had to be crimped by hand, the bt 711 now sets new standards of speed and quality.

The press layout allows the use of all standard commercial applicators.

The speed and acceleration of the frequency and resolver controlled motor can be adapted to whatever the current application is.

The maximum crimping force is 20kN. Wires up to 6mm2 in size can be crimped.

In terms of safety features, the bt711 has a safety cover equipped with RCS (Redundant Control System), a two-channel safety system.

The entire user software can be operated from the OMI (Operator Machine Interface) with a display in the user’s choice of seven languages. Maximum user convenience is guaranteed as there are just two buttons and a digital potentiometer. The user software for the bench top press controls the press, all accessories and the integrated crimp force analyzer. There is simplified setup for new applications featuring creep speed, single cycle, single step, and setup menus.

Double stroke and other special functions can be configured with the user software.

The safety cover is opened and closed pneumatically.

The module has integrated crimp monitoring in the form of a CFA (Crimp Force Analyzer). Two piezo-ceramic sensors act as the pickup units. If the applicator is asymmetrically loaded, these units detect diverted forces.

The 3-zone analysis ensures extremely reliable good/bad detection with detailed error information. The crimp curve is displayed on a graph on the OMI.
